The Owl

Milan Gdowski, Staff Writer

Milan Gdowski is a junior at Boulder High School and is a proud new member of The Owl’s writing staff. Though he is a Boulder-born American, Milan shows his Polish heritage through his love of pierogies and strong opinions that he hopes to express through the newspaper. When not writing stories for The Owl, Milan shows a fondness for the arts expressed in his membership of the Front of House theater team and his evolving passion for the piano. However, Milan also likes to get in touch with his more rugged side while hiking, camping, and planning for the inevitable apocalypse. Milan’s professional expertise is protecting small children from the dangers of water as a lifeguard for the City of Boulder, an experience he finds very rewarding. On the designated occasions that he is allowed to take a break from his regular life, you can find Milan in Florida, his beloved yet controversial holiday escape. While vacationing, Milan enjoys both laying on the beach with a good book and enduring the stressful affair of fighting other surfers for the biggest waves. Besides surfing, Milan relishes the nature of Colorado by recreationally enjoying the sports of skiing, fishing, and mountain biking. Milan is a passionate enthusiast of Arizona Iced Tea, which he likes exactly like his grapes: in the green variety.
