Delia Coker, Writer

Delia Coker is one of the newest members of The Owl. She is going into her senior year of high school and has an interest in sports journalism. She loves to watch and follow an array of sports, ranging from collegiate to extreme sports. She grew up participating and competing in many sports, including tennis, ski racing, horseback riding, and swimming, which have all contributed to her love for athletics. Though she does not compete in those sports anymore, she still enjoys watching games and competitions in her free time. Her family is from North Carolina, so by blood, she is a diehard UNC fan (University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill). She loves anything and everything UNC, and particularly enjoys watching UNC basketball and soccer (SKO-HEELS).

Delia additionally enjoys photography and shoots for Boulder High School teams and private collegiate soccer clubs in the Front Range area (Flatirons FC). Outside of school, she has a passion for freeskiing and, in recent seasons, has combined her love for both pursuits by photographing skiers and snowboarders primarily in the terrain park. If you’re looking for her, there’s a good chance she’s on the knuckle of a jump with her camera in hand, munching on frozen purple grapes, her go-to ski snack, which rane supreme over all other snacks, especially green grapes.
