Boulder High School’s theater department, more commonly known as Troupe 60, will have their first all-theater meeting on Thursday the 24th at 4:00 p.m. Although this year looks very different in many different ways, Troupe 60’s directors and board members have been looking for ways to incorporate theater into students’ lives, even if it is at home. At the meeting, Troupe 60 will be introducing the directors, new board members, crews, crew heads and stage managers. The meeting will also cover what year will look like in terms of shows and the opportunities that will still be given, even if they are limited. Troupe 60’s two biggest shows of the first semester, BlackBox and Haunted House, will continue to happen online. More details of how to get involved in the shows will be discussed at the meeting. The “crews” our department offers, such as Set Construction, Costume Design, Makeup, Lights and Sound, will allow new students to learn and be involved. New students can learn more about crews and acting during three rounds of rotations of breakout groups to have one-on-one conversations with the heads of each crew. The online experience of Troupe 60 this year will be different than past years, but the community and excitement of starting a new theater season are the same as any other!
