As we jump into the second semester, the basketball season is in full swing. This means that the athletes have new apparel and are flaunting this throughout the day at school, specifically on days that they have away games. One of these new “fits” is the purple sweatsuits that they have been sporting around the building.  While these sweatsuits aren’t mismatched like the soccer boys’ sweatsuits from last fall, there is still something in-your-face about the color of the outfits. The alarmingly bright purple is the first thing you see when any of the basketball boys come within 50 feet of your field of vision, but this is not the only issue with the clothing. The cut of the pants also seems to be… interesting. The pants are not so much sweatpants as they are skinny joggers. The fabric seems to cling to the legs of athletes. As if this wasn’t enough, when the wearer of the sweatsuit puts the hood up, they could become easily confused with the lovable purple Teletubby, Winky. While the sweatsuits don’t look so bad on such fit student-athletes, they are a bit much.

All fashion controversy aside, make sure to go support your Boulder Boys Basketball team this season!
