Have you bought your yearbooks yet, Panthers? Here’s looking at the class of ‘26 (and their star signs) for what lies ahead after graduation.
Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19): When was the last time you went to a trampoline park? For me, it was my fifth-grade birthday. How about the last time you went roller skating? Played laser tag? Did a ropes course? It’s about time! This summer, spend your time doing high-energy activities, even if they seem childish (you are the most energetic zodiac sign, after all, and you can make anything fun!)
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20): Who said you need a tent to camp? Is there a last-minute cancellation at Rocky? Have a weekend off work? Grab your car (or a friend’s!) and a passenger princess, and head up the mountains for a little getaway. Take a couple of blankets, string lights, sheets to cover the windows, a little portable stove, and you’re set! Don’t forget the s’mores supplies.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 21): Learn to make your own coffee/drink order. Trust me, you’ll save $$$, and by creating your own drinks, you can experiment with different flavors and methods! If you’re a matcha enthusiast, try adding rose or lavender syrup (you can buy these at the grocery store!) If you love coffee, try an affogato! (It’s ice cream and coffee. Is there anything better?) I think that counts for “barista training” on your resume.
Cancer (Jun 22-Jul 22): This summer, we’re watermaxxing, Cancer. The pool’s a little overdone, though, so try something more adventurous: jump in a lake, go tubing down Boulder Creek (or in Golden!), or rent a paddleboard and go splash around in the reservoir! What better way to catch a tan, spend time in nature, and make the most of your summer?
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22): Sunset hike and stargazing. This one’s for the romantics (and slightly adventurous), so here’s looking at you, Leo! Pack a picnic blanket, strawberries if you’re really feeling fancy, some flashlights, and bug spray, and head up Flagstaff or Sanitas for a beautiful evening. See if you can spot the Summer Triangle or the Little Dipper!
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22): Scrapbook your summer. Need some ideas? When you have free time, fill a page with a sketch of where you’re sitting. Jot down the people around you, the scenery, and the music playing. Collect all the ticket stubs, postcards, receipts, Polaroids, and clothing tags you accumulate over the summer. Add in little journal entries, doodles, or notes from friends, and decorate with washi tape and markers!
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 23): For the social butterfly and film buff, host a themed movie night! Break out the 90s fashion with Clueless, pull up with some pasta for Ratatouille, or have a popcorn and pajamas movie marathon! Bonus points if you set up a projector and play the movie outside.
Scorpio (Oct 24-Nov 21): This summer, get that tattoo or piercing you’ve been wanting, dye your hair, or experiment with a totally new makeup style! Be responsible (not that I’m encouraging stick-and-pokes), but have fun with it: what better time is there to try something new? I would have suggested this for Aries, but they’re a bit too impulsive to be trusted with tats or piercings!
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21): You’re famous for your adventurous, altruistic spirit, so be eco-friendly this summer and have a car-free Denver day! Take the light rail into the city and spend the day hopping buses and trains to explore all the different parts of Denver, from art museums and parks to hole-in-the-wall restaurants and sky-rise views. Pack water and snacks!
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19): Pick up a new and creative hobby. Capricorns are notoriously curious, so I know there’s a long bucket list of things you’ve been wanting to try: photography, pottery, rock climbing, embroidering, sketching, roller blading, guitar, the list goes on! Use your free time to your advantage this summer. I’ll join you – catch me bruising my knees and breaking bones roller blading this summer!
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18): Start a sidewalk chalk mural. As one of the most artistic signs, you might already have the supplies–now you just need inspo! This can be a social or solo activity: grab some chalk or chalk markers, or make your own paint, and start drawing. Your message could be political, poetic, or just plain fun and whimsical!
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20): The must-do side quest for the most creative (and fashionable!) zodiac sign is to DIY some clothes! Use bleach to make a cyanotype hoodie, use fabric paint on boring shirts, upcycle an old pair of jeans into a cute bag, tie-dye a tank, make your own jewelry… The possibilities are endless!
