Boys wrestling is currently enjoying a successful season this winter, with many star athletes showing their abilities on the mat. Many students at Boulder High may be unfamiliar with the sport, but should not write it off before going to view a dual. The varsity team has their home dual meets under a spotlight in the Pit, which adds a slight Fight Club feel to the spectacle. Spectators can be both terrified and fascinated by what they are seeing. I highly encourage Boulder High students to give wrestling a shot this year as the athletes show incredible work ethic and passion for the sport they participate in, and it is highly enjoyable to watch. There are only three more duals this season, so be sure to catch one before it’s over. You certainly won’t regret it.
