Urban Market

Whaaat?! Festival

Where: ATLAS Institute, University of Colorado Boulder, 1125 18th St, in Boulder

Whaaat?! is a one-day festival full of games and “experimental interactions” that celebrate humanity’s curious nature and will hopefully make you say, “Whaaat?!” It will feature talks, a curated arcade of experimental games, workshops, panels and more. More information can be found here.

Gritty/Pretty

Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra performs in Macky Auditorium (via boulderphil.org).

When: Saturday, October 12th, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Where: Macky Auditorium, 1595 Pleasant St, in Boulder

Come experience the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra in all its glory at the Gritty/Pretty event this Saturday at the Macky Auditorium. Radiohead guitarist Johhny Greenwood and Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord will start the night off alongside Philharmonics’ own Principal Flutist Elizabeth Sadilek-Labenski. This incredible performance will be followed by Schubert’s fifth symphony, conducted by Micheal Butterman. This will be unlike any other orchestra event you have seen, and it is guaranteed to amaze.
