Sydney Hood is currently a senior at Boulder High School, and this will be her first year with the newspaper. In her free time, Sydney enjoys skiing, running, hiking, and eating delicious crunchy green grapes. Sydney also enjoys spending time in her home state of Alaska, where she enjoys engaging in outdoor activities as well as seeing friends and family. At home, Sydney enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs, Luna and Nico, as well as her younger sister, Maia. Sydney often procrastinates her homework and can be found doing it at 5am the morning before it is due. You will often see her with headphones listening to Billie Eilish or Taylor Swift. As a former barista at The Grind Coffee Co. in Juneau, AK, Sydney loves making fun drinks, especially for summer, and can usually be found drinking a matcha latte. Sydney has always loved writing and collaborating with peers, so this is a perfect match. She can’t wait for her first year with The Owl!
