Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19): The Addams Family. Don’t be afraid to be unique. The right person (and people!) will appreciate you for who you authentically are.

Taurus (Apr 20-May 20): Beetlejuice. This autumn season, let go of things that may be burdening you, and keep your spirits up by laughing with your fellow witches!

Gemini (May 21-Jun 21): Hocus Pocus. Embrace your witchy side this Halloween season, but don’t get burned at the stake! Avoid children at all costs.

Cancer (Jun 22-Jul 22): Corpse Bride. Do you believe in the October Theory? The signs say that romance might be in your future this fall.

Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22): The Nightmare Before Christmas. Make time for mental health and fun times this season, and try to enjoy the changing of the seasons! (Even if you’re a summer child at heart.)

Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22): It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Spend time with your friends this fall season, and await the arrival of the Great Pumpkin together! Bring lots of apple cider, snacks, and pumpkin spice.

Libra (Sep 23-Oct 23): Coraline. Adventure awaits you this autumn… that’s all we’re at liberty to say. Maybe stay away from buttons and sewing machines, for a while!

Scorpio (Oct 24-Nov 21): Scream. Don’t be that girl in every horror movie. Don’t go in the basement. (Don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice if you need it. Reaching out is strong, not stupid.)

Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21): The Craft. You are at your most powerful this time of year (well, when caffeinated). Enjoy your pumpkin spice latte. Don’t let anyone shame you out of it.

Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19): Halloween. You are probably a fan of the spooky and scary aspects of Halloween. My advice? Lock your doors when you watch horror movies, to avoid being jump-scared by things that go bump in the night! And maybe invest in a cozy, warm blanket.

Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18): Ghostbusters. Who ya gonna call? You may feel like there are lots of people depending on you at this time. Remember to prioritize your mental health first, otherwise, you can’t be there for others!

Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20): Casper. Someone new is set to enter your life this autumn season, whether it be a friend, partner, or potentially, a friendly ghost? They might just be the best person you meet this year.

Ella Gibney is entering her third year with The Owl fueled by overpriced coffee, the crystals in her pockets, and Love Island USA. Current BHS senior and co-editor-in-chief, Ella is excited to continue covering the events affecting the student body by openly writing about mental health, getting the behind-the-scenes of the school’s inner workings, and voicing her opinions on everything from pop culture to diet culture. Ella is passionate about volunteering and gives weekly presentations about depression and suicide to middle and high school classrooms. Outside of the school setting, she can usually be found thrifting jewelry, falsely believing she can read palms, or working at her part-time job to finance her full-time concert-goer identity. The only thing Ella fears more than math homework and highways is purple grapes, due to their horrifying likeness to the taste of cough syrup.
