Denver International Airport or DIA, located about forty miles from Boulder High, is the biggest airport in the United States and shrouded in a thick veil of controversy and rumors. From its devilish blue horse to its sinister gargoyles, it’s easy to see why the airport is the subject of global speculation.

Although the rumors are widespread, DIA has truly embraced and acknowledges the strange nature of these stories. Fly Denver writes, “People say our underground tunnels lead to secret meeting facilities for the world’s elite. Our blue horse is thought to be cursed. Some believe we are connected to the New World Order and the Freemasons. Some even say we’re home to a colony of lizard people.”

Blucifer, the devilish blue horse with red eyes, acts as a gateway to the eerie airport. In the process of its creation in 2006, Blucifer killed its creator. “Luis Jiménez died in 2006 at 65, after a part of “Mustang” came loose while he was working on it. It severed an artery in his leg and he bled to death,.” sSays Colorado Public Radio. The blue horse is eye-catching and absolutely massive, Fox 31 News says, “At 9,000 lbs, Mustang weighs about the same as a fully grown male hippopotamus.”

One of the most eye-catching and eclectic details of Denver International Airport is the notorious gargoyles that line the walls of the baggage claim. These frightening gargoyles are said to protect and look over the luggage of passengers, but some theorists say that they exemplify a connection to the New World Order., The New World Order is a conspiracy that a global totalitarian government is forthcoming.

While most of these conspiracy theories surrounding Denver International Airport seem flawed and deranged, some questions remain. As a transportation hub, DIA is powerful on a global scale, but why does it need to be this big? The truth is, although one can see where all this controversy comes from, the shroud of mystery surrounding Denver International Airport is certainly suspicious. Bbut is thisthat mystery innocent, or are there more sinister things at play?
