Every NFL Team’s Best Player Performance This Year

Some of this year’s best performances have come from tense Monday Night Football matchups.

Arizona Cardinals

Trey McBride / TE /  Week 7

Though the Cardinals lost their 5th straight in this heartbreaker, McBride was the shining light for the Arizona offense. He scored a touchdown at the end of the second half and added another in the 3rd quarter to give the Cardinals the lead again. McBride ended the night with 10 receptions for 74 yards.

 

Atlanta Falcons

Bijan Robinson / RB / Week 6

The Falcons came into this Monday Night matchup against the Bills as heavy underdogs, but Bijan Robinson singlehandedly flipped the script. Robinson put up nearly 250 all-purpose yards on 19 carries and 6 receptions to give the Falcons a 24-14 win.

 

Baltimore Ravens

Derrick Henry / RB / Week 1

While Derrick Henry has looked like a shell of himself so far this year, his performance in Week 1 was stellar, breaking off huge runs for 169 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

 

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen / QB / Week 1

To counter Henry’s outstanding game, Allen showed why he’s the reigning MVP on the other side of the ball in this Week 1 nailbiter. Allen led the Bills from a 34-19 deficit at the start of the 4th quarter to a 41-40 win, with 394 total passing yards and 2 4th quarter rushing touchdowns.

 

Carolina Panthers

Rico Dowdle / RB / Week 6

After Rico Dowdle ran for over 200 yards in Week 5 as he stepped in for the injured Chuba Hubbard, everybody thought it was, well, a fluke. Dowdle, however, came into Week 6 more motivated than ever, as the Panthers played the Cowboys, the team that released Dowdle a year before. Dowdle didn’t disappoint for the second game in a row. He had 183 rushing yards and 56 more in the air as he led the Panthers to a 30-27 win against his former team.

 

Chicago Bears

Jake Moody / K / Week 6

Moody was the hero of the Bears’ second straight 25-24 victory, as he made 4 out of 5 field goals, including a game-winner as time expired.

 

Cincinnati Bengals

Ja’marr Chase / WR / Week 7

It seemed like Chase got the ball every single time against the Steelers, and for good reason. He caught 16 passes on 20 targets as the Bengals eked out their third win of the year.

 

Cleveland Browns

Quinshon Judkins / RB / Week 7

The Browns needed a Week 7 win against the Dolphins, and Quinshon Judkins provided the spark. His three rushing touchdowns guided Cleveland to a dominant 31-6 victory.

Toby Schoenfeld is a Junior at Boulder High School. He is interested in contributing to the Owl because his dad is a sports journalist, so he is excited to follow in his footsteps at the Boulder High Newspaper. Toby is a pitcher for the Boulder High baseball team, and hopes to play in college. He is very interested in sports and design, but always seems to root for teams that are the most frustrating to watch. In his free time, Toby watches the Boston Red Sox give away leads and not make the playoffs. He can often be found beating his older brother in FIFA, or avoiding imposing dogs in his neighborhood. The latter can be a difficult challenge, as there seem to be bigger and bigger dogs every corner he turns. Toby also loves to travel. Wherever he goes, he tries to find cool hotels and restaurants to visit. Of course, it’s imperative that the restaurants he goes to serve crisp, crunchy green grapes, and not saccharine and disgusting red grapes.
